Five New England Resorts to Ski This Week

by Kirsten Dobroth | March 12, 2018

If you live in New England, you’re most likely still digging out from the last storm that walloped the area less than a week ago – or still waiting for power to come back on from the first spring storm that rolled through a week and a half ago. And if that’s the case, you’re probably dreading the news that another major storm is set to hit the region in the next few days. The one exception to that dread being  if you live anywhere near a New England ski area, which mostly likely has been seeing some incredible spring skiing thanks to the storms. The nor’easter set to come ashore Tuesday should blanket the northeast once again, with resorts scattered across Massachusetts (and Rhode Island) set to reap the biggest snow totals in North America. So, where should you be to enjoy the pow?

Blue Hills Ski Area, Massachusetts is bracing for 18 inches of snow. Although the resort is closed today and Tuesday, it reopens at noon on Wednesday.

Ski Bradford, another Massachusetts ski hill, takes the number two spot, with 16 inches expected from Tuesday’s storm.

Rhode Island’s own Yawgoo Valley Ski Area & Waterpark is bracing for 15 more inches of snow this week.

Nashoba Valley Ski Area in Massachusetts comes in with the fourth largest anticipated snowfall in the North America from Tuesday’s storm, at 15 inches.

And another Massachetts ski hill rounds out the top five, with Wachusett Mountain expecting 14 inches from Tuesday’s nor’easter.
